About Me

Hello! I'm Haleyann (she/her), a NYC-based singer/dancer/actress, choreographer, and teaching artist. My artistic journey began at four years old when I took my first dance classes in the back room of a restaurant in my small hometown. (yes, a restaurant) And I haven't stopped dancing!
I am deeply passionate about what I do: storytelling, educating, entertaining, and change-making. I believe in the importance and power of the arts, and as an artist I strive to use that power responsibly to tell stories, educate, entertain, and make change in my communities.
Below is more about my education/training and, well, ME! Above, you can find page links to learn more about my work as an artist.
I hope we can collaborate soon! Thank you!

In the Ray Bolger Musical Theater program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), I underwent comprehensive vocal, dance, and acting training. My artistic achievements at UCLA included Dance Captain in two Main Stage productions, Assistant Director/Choreographer and Performer in an original musical I helped to devise with my classmates, and Choreographer for multiple productions. My friends and I raised thousands of dollars for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS by producing "Bruins Care," a fundraiser cabaret which I directed my senior year. I also appeared in two short films and was a member of YOUTHphonics, an a cappella group committed to arts education and community service. My favorite non-arts classes included Bio-Ethics, Dante's Divine Comedy, and The Beatles. (yes, a class dedicated to studying The Beatles) As a 2020 graduate, I had to learn quickly how to pivot, listen, and react in an ever-changing and unfair world.
Before UCLA, I attended Fern Adair Conservatory of the Arts, where I received the majority of my dance and performing training growing up in Las Vegas, Nevada. From age 8-18 I studied ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, voice, and even some acrobatics and aerial silks work. I was part of the competitive dance team. We danced in community centers and care facilities during the holidays and in large-scale dance shows every summer. Portions of the proceeds were always donated to the Make-a-Wish Foundation or the Ronald McDonald House for Children. One summer I had the opportunity to premier my first-ever choreographed piece on stage. FACA was my home and my safe space where I discovered just how deeply I love dancing and performing... AND how deeply I value community.
